Novy vs Eniac – Pumpin (Flickman Remix) (2000)
Novy vs Eniac’s “Pumpin” became the biggest hit for German production duo Robert Borrmann and Thomas Reichold. The original mix is a blend of electro, techno, and big beat, akin to many Norman Cook productions of the era, with a more straightforward house flavor. The rap vocal sample present throughout the song, combined with a brash electro break, doesn’t help with timelessness of this release.
The B side of “Pumpin” is a remix by Italian duo Flickman with some added energy and became a big hit with Judge Jules.
“Pumpin” also featured in the soundtrack for Kevin and Perry Go Large.
